
Level 2 Certificate in Planning and Delivering Gym
Based Exercise
The aim of this qualification is to provide learners with the skills and knowledge to a
professionally competent level enabling them to plan deliver and evaluate safe and
effective fitness instruction sessions unsupervised via the context of gym-based exercise.
This course is delivered;
On a 1-2-1 basis with your own dedicated mentor in Stoke-on-Trent

100% Online

This means that you can complete the course in a timescale that suits YOU. There is a mixture of home learning and face to face visits with your mentor (These will be arranged at mutually convenient times).

Entry Requirements
• Some experience of gym-based exercises, including free weights, is highly recommended
• The course requires physical exertion and individual participation is essential; therefore,
a degree of physical fitness is necessary.
• There is also an element of communication (discussing, presenting, reading and writing)
involved and learners should have basic skills in communication

Principles of health and wellbeing for exercise, fitness and health
The aim of this unit is to develop knowledge and understanding of the key principles of
exercise, fitness and health, including the components, principles and variables of
fitness, the health and benefits of physical activity and the importance of healthy eating
